Green Lover Smoothie

11:24

I am a fan of green smoothies. Clearly.

They are quick, easy to make and full of nutrients. Basically there are no excuses when it comes to being able to make one. Phrases like "it is too hard", "I suck at cooking" and "I do not have the time" cannot apply here because a monkey could make one and it can take less then a few minutes to complete it.

All you need is a blender, good attitude and a willingness to get past the monster blood green of a smoothie.

This is a a smoothie I tend to drink 3-4 times a week as a replacement for my dinner. I choose to drink a smoothie for dinner because of my own digestive needs but you can have this smoothie for lunch, breakfast or even as a snack.

Green Lover Smoothie

1 Cup Spinach, washed
1 Green Apple, sliced and diced
1 Kiwi.sliced
1/2 a Mango, sliced
1 Tsp of Spirulina
1/2 Cup of Coconut Water
1/2 Banana, sliced
1 Tsp Chia Seeds

Throw all these ingredients into a blender and mix till smooth. If you are nervous about it being bitter you can add a teaspoon of sugar to add a little sweetness.

There you have it, a health smoothie full of goodies for your body and health.

For those of you wondering what Spirulina is it is type of "Greens" which can be found in health stores and usually comes in powder form. Spirulina is the "Green" with the highest amount of protein and nutrients out of all the options meaning it will aid in actually filling you up with the combination of this green and spinach there is no way you can be left feeling hungry after enjoying this smoothie...I sure don't!

Enjoy!
