Tis A Sunny Day!

Hello lovely people of the interwebs!

As I shared in one of my earlier posts I am going to take a small break from writing my "The Happiness Struggle" series just to give you all a bit of a breather and also to share that I have been nominated for the Sunshine Award! *queue cheering and fist pumping* by the oh-so-kind Emmyland from The Art of Making Art
I was very surprised (and happy) to see this nomination in my inbox and gladly accept this nomination. Back when I was younger I was rarely nominated for anything outside of "most likely to run into a wall after seeing it was right in front of her" so this is such a great encouragement for me and my writing as I have come to really find myself dedicating a lot of my time and heart into this blog. Thank you for believing that my blog offers people a little sunshine into their days as that has only ever been my goal, to spread love, hope and a chance for people to see that it does not matter where you come from in life only where you are going and that it makes you happy. So thank you again Emmyland from The Art of Making Art

So to my understanding now the rules state that I must do the following:

1) Post an image of the award
2)Write an acceptance post including a link back to the person who nominated me.
3)Write a list of Ten Things About Myself
4)Nominate other bloggers for the award

So with two off the list crossed off lets move onto the third...I guess now you guys are actually going to get to know me.

Ten Things About Me

1) I am a history nut. If it is ancient then I own a book (or four) about it. Do not let my bubbly exterior and love for crop tops lead you to think that I cannot name all the gods from ancient Egypt, Greece, Rome and Norse...among other tantalizing facts.

2) I am twenty-five and still rarely wear matching socks. As we speak they are mismatched and mocking me.

3) I grew up watching Jackie Chan movies from Rumble in the Bronx to Rush Hour 3, meaning I also grew up learning and loving martial arts though usually that just led to me being my brother's genuine pig...

4) Even though I am twenty-five I am still ridiculously not a fan of the dark and still jump into my bed lest the trolls grab my feet and eat my toes. Thanks bro for that one.

5)  If I do not have my cup of Earl Grey in the morning and a run during the day I become a neurotic, babbling maniac.

6) My favorite form of television has always been (and always will be) British Television. From Sherlock to Lost in Austen to simply the BBC News if I have a choice between that and the best of American Reality TV it's easy to guess which I would pick.

7) I trained in playing the piano with the Royal Conservatory since I was four years old, I also play the guitar and I have been trying to teach myself the violin but that is a very slow process.

8) Even though is may have been one of the worst things to happen to music...I do enjoy the song "Gangnam Style" by Psy...we all have our nasty little music secrets.

9) I love sushi. I LOVE sushi. Sushi sushi sushi sushi...I literally have it one or two times a week and would
have it more often if my wallet could permit it. Sushi.

10) I am a pretty darn feminine girl, I like doing my makeup and having very long hair that I am vain about. I like my clothes and my heels but I did grow up outside and would like nothing more then to go and hike Machu Picchu or trek through the jungles of Thailand and climb Mount Fiji. I am as adventurous as I am imaginative and that is very.

The blogs I am nominating at the following;

There you have it!

This just makes me wants to work even harder at my blog so thank you again!

xoxo Nicola
