MORNING SMOOTHIE BOWLS: My Go-To Breakfast

21:12

Hello loves!

Today I am going to share with you my two favourite go-to breakfast smoothie bowls! As I have shared in a couple of past posts, I went vegan nearly a year ago and like any lifestyle change it was a process of trail and error in finding out the foods and recipes I liked and that were also quick to make since the reality is I am a working full-time student and time is of the essence in my life right now. I have posted images of my breakfast bowls on my Instagram @lovely20somethings  and I often had people ask me exactly how I make it and what I put into these bowls.

What is fantastic about these bowls is that they are packed with nutrients, vitamins, they give you lots of energy as well as they are really filling. As well you can always add some protein powder if you like. You don't have to be vegan to enjoy these bowls, you can even just have it as a treat on a hot summer day since it is chilled and delicious.

So here are my two favourite smoothie bowls at the moment!

I hope you will enjoy and try out for yourself.

STRAWBERRY COCONUT SMOOTHIE

In the Smoothie:

Frozen Strawberries (about 1/2 cup)
Almond Milk (about 1/2 cup)
Raw Cacao (teaspoon)
Dates (2-4)
Half a Banana

The Topper:

Sliced Strawberries
Coconut Flakes
Granola
Sunflower Seeds

*You want the smoothie to have a thick consistency since you eat it with a spoon
so be sure to not add too much almond milk/soy milk.

(lots of vitamins like vitamin C, B6, Omega3, magnesium and potassium)

BLUEBERRY BLAST SMOOTHIE

In the Smoothie:

Frozen Blueberries (about 1/2 cup)
Frozen strawberries (hand full)
Almond Milk (1/2 cup)
Half a banana
Raw Cacao (teaspoon)

The Topper:

Sliced Strawberries
Raspberries
Sunflower seeds
Coconut Flakes
Diced Dates

*You want the smoothie to have a thick consistency since you eat it with a spoon
so be sure to not add too much almond milk/soy milk.

(lots of vitamins like vitamin C, manganese, potassium, as well as antioxidants)

I hope you get a chance to try out these recipes for yourself and if you do let me know how you like it but commenting here on my blog or tagging me on Instagram!

As always, stay excellent and keep your eyes peeled for a future post!

xoxo

Nicola
